Every decade imagined its own tomorrow.
Stack them all up and none of them feel old anymore.

Client: Fictional / Concept
Role: Art Direction, Page Layout, 3D Modelling
Year: 2025

OVERVIEW

A poster & concept for a fictional sci-fi independent film festival, built around one question: what if the whole identity lived inside a single object? The answer became a three-sided vintage television, modelled from scratch and dressed to feel pulled out of another decade's idea of the future.

THE OBJECT

Before the object took shape, the mood came from the kind of quiet, structural vastness you get from films like Interstellar or shows like Severance. Not a reference to copy, a temperature to build towards.

That same feeling shaped the retro interface work. Sci-fi rarely agrees on one future. Stack enough of them side by side and even "retro" stops holding still.

THE PROCESS

The television's body and screen bezels were modelled and rendered in Blender first, no content, just form. Each screen was then designed independently in Photoshop, before being mapped back onto the render.

InDesign carried the final composition, placing the object against its background and setting festival details, date, location, credits, so everything stayed legible at poster scale considering logos positioning and hierarchy.

THE SCREENS

Title screen. Date screen. Location screen. Three separate interfaces, one shared visual language. None of them need to explain themselves (just like any good sci-fi movie).

It was never really about the future.
It was about the frame around it.
